Our Story

Down to Earth was founded in 1997 in Islamorada, Florida in the fabulous Florida Keys. Five years later we were given the gift in the form of a son named Phoenix David Fox. At six months, Phoenix was diagnosed with a rare and terminal form of muscular dystrophy by Dr. Barry Byrne, a specialist at the University of Florida.

Today we are blessed to still have Phoenix with us. We have since moved to Gainesville to have access to excellent medical care. We have grown to love Gainesville and the Gators, and wanted to bring a little bit of our island home to the area. Our goal is to bring you gifts that will inspire you to become aware of how fabulous life really is!
